Vintage Lovely Girls.

Hello everyone!!! I made it safely to Denver, my husband's hometown! I'm very happy to be able to spend the summer here.. I will probably write something about this beautiful city in one of my next posts..

Today I want to share with you a few pictures from one of my favorite Vintage Shops on etsy: NaturePoet.
Mary, the owner, has a great taste for unique and selected items. I love the images she sells, I will share with you those I like the most.

First of all.. the pretty Lady with the Umbrella. Look how gorgeous she looks! I saw her yesterday in my "etsy feed" and I had the inspiration to write about this shop. It looks like she just came out of the movie "My Fair Lady" with Audrey Hepburn.. :)

Lady with Umbrella

This girl is just so sweet. I love her perfectly curled hair and the red poppies on her hat! Isn't she gorgeous?

Lady Beautiful Hat with Poppies

And another beautiful girl.... she reminds me of Kate Winslet in Sense and Sensibility, one of my favorite actresses and movies ever. I like her big pink bow and the pretty ring on her pinky finger. She's adorable!♥

Beautiful Lady in Hat

Last but not least... the Tulip Fairy!!!! I LOVE her! She's part of a collection of "Flower Fairies".. I know that because some dear Italian friends have a few old plates on their dining room's wall portraying these pretty fairies... I remember I used to stare at them and look at all the cute details.

Well, I just want to thank Mary, from NaturePoet for allowing me to write about her beautiful shop!!! I hope you all go check it out.. there is much more than this!!!!! Enjoy!!!

So Much To Do.

My vacations are going to begin soon!!! Like every year we go spend summer in Denver~CO, our american home-town. The kids are all excited because most of their friends live there.. and mine too!! :)
Before leaving, though, I always want to clean clean clean.... the thing that for me takes most of my cleaning time is THE LAUNDRY!! I have an old and half-broken washer, and unlike most of the american people, I don't have a dryer.. so, I have to pretend to be in Italy {which I don't mind at all} and hang all my laundry waiting for the wind and the sun to dry it. :)

I also have to pack everybody's clothes and wash a mountain of dishes.. I like washing dishes, it's my second favorite chore after cooking.. is cooking even considered a chore?? For me it's more like a fun pleasure ;)

What's your favorite chore?
Next time I'll post something it will be from Denver, God willing... I'll talk to you then!!
..this is how "Laundry Day" looks like in my beautiful country..

Coffee Date.

All those who know me can tell you how much I love coffee, my day doesn't start well if I don't drink a huge cup of Caffe'-latte {an easy version of cappuccino, basically espresso & milk with no froth}. And I love "coffee-dates", there's nothing better than a chit-chat with a good friend while sipping a delicious coffee.
If today you were over at my house to have a cup of coffee, I would show you how I make my Cappuccino
You need real espresso, when I say real I mean Italian.. :) Italian brands are sold in almost every american grocery store {I'm sooo happy about that!! I used to have my Mom sending me coffee from Italy!}, the most common are Lavazza and Illy Caffe'.
Once you have made a strong espresso, warm up the milk {I know it's more fat, but whole milk is the best!} and froth it.. I use my "frother-pot" that I bought in Italy, but you can find something like this in different stores, I used to have it and it works really well.
Pour the coffee in your cup, add some sugar, if you like it sweet like I do, then add the milk with the froth on top. I like to sprinkle it with powder cocoa! Et voila'!  Deeelicioussss!!! ♥
Here's a little picture-collage I made for you:

Jane Eyre

One of my favorite books is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. If you are looking for a book to read this summer and you like romance, adventure and suspense.. it's the book for you!! I'll share with you a few quotes:

“No sight so sad as that of a naughty child," he began, "especially a naughty little girl. Do you know where the wicked go after death?"

"They go to hell," was my ready and orthodox answer.

"And what is hell? Can you tell me that?"

"A pit full of fire."

"And should you like to fall into that pit, and to be burning there for ever?"

"No, sir."

"What must you do to avoid it?"

I deliberated a moment: my answer, when it did come was objectionable: "I must keep in good health and not die.”
― Charlotte BrontëJane Eyre

“You — you strange — you almost unearthly thing! — I love as my own flesh. You — poor and obscure, and small and plain as you are — I entreat to accept me as a husband.”
― Charlotte BrontëJane Eyre

“Her coming was my hope each day,
Her parting was my pain;
The chance that did her steps delay
Was ice in every vein.”
― Charlotte BrontëJane Eyre

“Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! - I have as much soul as you, - and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you!”
